High levels of air pollution are possible this afternoon.

An AIR QUALITY WARNING is in place due to the possibility of deteriorating air quality. Hot and sunny conditions are expected to cause increasing ground-level ozone concentrations this afternoon. Moderate risk AQHI values are expected throughout the day with the potential of short-term high risk AQHI values in the afternoon.

When air pollution levels are high, everyone should limit time outdoors. Consider reducing or rescheduling outdoor sports, activities and events.

You may experience mild and common symptoms such as eye, nose and throat irritation, headaches or a mild cough. More serious but less common symptoms include wheezing, chest pains or severe cough. If you think you are having a medical emergency, seek immediate medical assistance.

People more likely to be impacted by outdoor air pollution, including people aged 65 and older, pregnant people, infants and young children, people with an existing illness or chronic health condition, and people who work outdoors, should reduce or reschedule strenuous activities outdoors and seek medical attention if experiencing symptoms.

The driver of a pickup truck was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a crash in St. Clair Township on Tuesday evening.Lambton OPP were called to a two vehicle collision involving a pickup and tractor trailer at the intersection of Petrolia Line and Brigden Road at around 5:10 p.m.Police didn't include the condition of the driver of the commercial vehicle.The investigation is continuing.Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
