VPP 2026 season filled with music, comedy

The historic Victoria Playhouse Petrolia (VPP) has unveiled an exciting line up for the 2026 season.

Love Is All You Need is the theme for the season.

In a news release, Co-Artistic Directors David Hogan and David Rogers said the 2026 lineup invites audiences to laugh, sing, and rediscover the simple truth that love truly is all you need.

"Through music, laughter and heartfelt stories, we’re reminded that love connects us all. Each of these productions reminds us that love, in all its forms, is the heart of great storytelling."

VPP Program Coordinator Callandra Dendias added, “After last year’s focus on harmony, humour, and heart, this new season expands on that with warmth and connection. Every show captures a different shade of love - romantic, nostalgic, creative, or simply human. It’s a season that feels like home.”

The 2026 season will feature six shows, starting with Divine Women 2 which runs from April 21 until May 1.

A sequel to the VPP original, it focuses on five Canadian female artists from Musical Theatre, Broadway and Concert stages.

Each performer will share their personal stories and signature songs in this unique theatrical concert.

I Do! I Do!, starring Sarah Higgins and Michael Vanhevel runs from May 12 to 29.

The heartfelt musical follows a couple through fifty years of marriage, from newlywed bliss to the golden years.

Ed's Garage - June 9 to 26 - In a dusty back-street garage, two misfit mechanics and a surprise visitor collide in a wild tune-up of ambition, betrayal and redemption.

Good Vibrations - Sun Surf and Summer Love - July 7 to 24 Ride the wave with The Beach Boys, The Mamas and The Papas, The Turtles, Jan and Dean, and more for a feel-good celebration of surf, sunshine and classic hits

Piano Legends - August 11 to 28 - Celebrating the great entertainers behind the keys, from the dazzle of Liberace, Jerry Lee Lewis and Elton John, to the memorable hits of Billy Joel, Barry Manilow, Neil Sedaka and Peter Allen

Music of the Beatles September 15 to October 2 - From the early days of She Loves You and I Want to Hold Your Hand to the revolutionary sounds of Sgt. Pepper, Abbey Road, and Let It Be, this show is bound to be another VPP knockout
