Boys International Silver Stick Finals coming to Sarnia this weekend

Don't be surprised if it's busier than usual in the City of Sarnia this weekend.

A total of 26 hockey teams are coming to town for the Boys International Silver Stick Finals in the U11/10U AAA and U18 AAA divisions.

It's the city's 68th year of hosting the finals, with clubs coming from as far away as Florida, Chicago, St. Louis, and right across Ontario.

There will be 54 games taking place Thursday through Sunday at Clearwater, Pat Stapleton, and Progressive Auto Sales Arenas.

They're relying on a team of 39 on ice officials, as well as 25 tournament Marshalls, and 39 clock and scorekeepers.

Local hotels, restaurants, entertainment venues and retail stores are expected to see an uptick in activity and economic benefits with thousands of visitors coming in.

The Lambton Jr. Sting U11 team will face the Chicago Reapers at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.

The Lambton Jr. Sting U18 team will open their weekend against the Sault Jr. Greyhounds on Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Pat Stapleton Arena.

There is no admission fee for fans to attend the games.

Sarnia-Lambton will host the Silver Stick Girls Finals from January 1 to 4, 2026.

The Mooretown U21 Finals are January 8 to 11, the Forest Finals are January 9 to 11, and January 23 to 25.

The Sarnia International Silver Stick AA and A finals will take place January 16 to 18.
