Sarnia police say a cyclist suffered serious injuries in a collision with a parked vehicle in the city's south end.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at around 11:45 a.m. Thursday.
Police said surveillance footage showed the cyclist travelling southbound on Margaret Street, and her bike was the only moving vehicle on the roadway at the time.
The cyclist was looking downward, with her hood possibly obstructing her vision, before riding directly into the back of a legally parked SUV.
Emergency first aid was provided at the scene, and the cyclist was taken to Bluewater Health before being transferred to London for further treatment.
She is in critical but stable condition, and her name is not being released at this time.
Police said there was no criminal wrongdoing as the vehicle involved was unoccupied and parked legally.
No charges are expected.
