Santa Claus parades float across Lambton

Communities across Lambton County are getting ready to welcome Santa Claus.

Details about area parades scheduled to take place over the coming weeks can be found below.

Corunna Santa Claus Parade

The Optimist Club of Moore has organized a parade to begin from Chris’ No Frills on Saturday, November 29, at 6:30 p.m.

The parade route will travel north on Lyndoch Street and will end at Beckwith Street.

Millers Meats will provide hot chocolate and free hot dogs for kids (while supplies last) during the parade.

Mainstreet Credit Union has also partnered with The Nook Co. to hold a pre-parade event. Guests can pop in at The Nook on Lyndoch Street between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. for free hot chocolate and treats, with a special appearance from The Grinch and Max.

Forest Kiwanis Santa Claus Parade

The parade will be held on Saturday, November 29 at 7 p.m. This year's theme is "Christmas in the Forest."

Floats will depart from Coultis Park. The parade route will go west on Townsend Line, south on Main Street, west on King Street, and will end at Union Street.

After the parade, Santa Claus will be at the Kineto Theatre with treats for the kids.

West Coast Lions Christmas Parade

The Grand Bend parade will be held on Saturday, November 29.

The parade on Main Street will begin at 6 p.m. Donations will be collected for the food pantry.

Watford Santa Claus Parade

The "Christmas in the Future" themed parade will be held on Saturday, December 6 at 10 a.m.

Floats will check in at the East Lambton Community Complex. The parade route will go down McGregor Street, along Front Street to Nauvoo Road, and right onto Gold Street.

Plympton-Wyoming Christmas in the Village

A free Christmas event will be held at the Wyoming Fairgrounds on Saturday, December 13, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

The tractor parade will start from the Royal Canadian Legion on Erie Street at 5:30 p.m. and will drop Santa Claus off for the tree lighting at 5:50 p.m.

Guests will get to visit with Santa, enjoy s'mores by the fire, take carriage rides, and holiday music.

The 16 foot tree and light music show will begin at 6:15 p.m. However, the show will also run every night from December 14 to December 31 at 7 p.m.

Christmas Celebration in Alvinston

While there won't be a traditional parade, decorative parade floats will be set up during the "Hallmark Christmas" event on Saturday, December 13.

The Optimist Club of Alvinston Districts will hold the event at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 249.

Santa will be available to take photos between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. The Christmas tree lighting is scheduled to take place at 6 p.m.

Free hot chocolate and treats will also be available.

Sarnia and Petrolia

The Kinsmen Santa Claus Parade in Sarnia and Petrolia's Santa Claus Parade will both be held on Saturday, December 6.
