Lambton OPP are investigating a homicide in Lambton Shores over the weekend.
Police were called to a home within the municipality at about 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
In a post to social media, OPP advised of a heavy police presence in the area of Northville Cres. in Thedford for an ongoing investigation.
Responding officers found one person deceased and another individual with serious injuries was taken to hospital.
Lambton OPP said one person was arrested and taken into custody without incident. No names have been released.
The investigation by the Lambton OPP Crime Unit is continuing in collaboration with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
The OPP Forensic Identification Services is also assisting with the investigation.
Police said preliminary information suggests this is an isolated incident, with no indication of a broader threat.
