UPDATE: One person air-lifted to hospital in east Lambton crash

A crash Monday afternoon in east Lambton sent two people to hospital.

Lambton OPP responded to a three-vehicle collision involving two passenger vehicles and a pickup truck on Confederation Line in Watford at around 1:45 p.m.

Police said one driver suffering from life-threatening injuries was taken by ORNGE air ambulance to hospital. OPP said injuries have since been downgraded to non-life-threatening. One passenger was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threating injuries.

The driver of the pickup was treated at the scene for minor injuries according to the OPP, while four occupants in the second passenger vehicle were not hurt.

Confederation Line was closed to traffic between Stewardson Road and Bear Creek Crescent until shortly before 7 p.m.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff
