The visiting Soo Greyhounds taught Sarnia a lesson on Lions Night at the Hive Thursday.
The Greyhounds won their fourth straight 5-2 against the Sting in front of 3,435 fans at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
Easton Walos and Tyler Challenger scored for Sarnia in the loss, and former Sting captain Lukas Fischer had two assists for the Greyhounds.
Sarnia goalie Patrick Quinlan made 18 saves in net.
Sarnia forward Beckham Edwards said at times they were a little slow or sluggish.
"I also think we had a lot of good chances for scoring opportunities and I think it's just kind of bearing down on those, and I think if we score a couple of those we're in the lead and it's a whole different game," said Edwards during a post game news conference.
The loss snaps the Stings two game winning streak.
Sting players wore special Lambton College jerseys for Thursday's game. Those are being auctioned off online in support of the Lambton College Foundation.
The Sarnia Sting is home to the London Knights Friday. Puck drop in the battle of the 402 is set for 7:05 p.m.
You can catch the game live on CHOK (103.9FM/1070AM).
