Three people are facing multiple charges after a traffic stop in Sarnia.
Police said that around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 16, officers saw a white SUV commit a traffic infraction, and when trying to stop the vehicle on Murphy Road south of Wiltshire Drive, it turned into a parking lot.
Police allege that when it entered the lot, they saw the front seat passenger throw something into the back of the SUV, and a passenger in the back seat appeared to lie down to try to hide.
When removing the passenger from the back seat, police allege they found a baseball bat with jagged metal pieces stuck in it, and that further investigation showed that the item thrown into the back was an open beer can.
The driver and two passengers are all facing multiple charges.
