Alleged drunk driver crashes into Sarnia business

No injuries were reported after an alleged drunk driver crashed into an East Street business.

Sarnia police were called at around 6:15 a.m. on Monday, January 26.

The driver was arrested after officers allegedly detected signs of impairment by alcohol.

Police said the accused later provided two breath samples of 150, which is well over the legal limit of 80.

As a result, the 33-year-old man was charged with impaired driving, being over .08, and mischief under $5,000.

His vehicle was impounded for seven days, and his licence was suspended for 90 days.

He was released from custody with a future court date.
