Battle of the Badges raises over $3K

This past Saturday's Battle of the Badges hockey game is being called a big success.

The contest between Sarnia firefighters and police brought in $3,380 for Huron House Boys’ Home.

It was held at Progressive Auto Sales Arena, prior to the Sarnia Sting's game against the Peterborough Petes.

On the ice, the police officers won the game 5-4 in a long shootout despite trailing 4-1 after two periods.

The Huron House Boys' Home is a dedicated children’s mental health live-in treatment centre, aimed at fostering community engagement, educational achievement, positive transformation, and personal responsibility.

It provides a treatment-based environment for boys aged 12 to 18, helping them grow, learn, and build a positive path forward.
