Lambton College said construction of its new residence is on track to be ready to welcome students in the fall of 2027.
"We’re excited to share that the new Student Residence at Lambton College is on track to welcome students in the fall of 2027. Work is continuing at a steady pace despite the winter weather, and crews are currently completing third-floor precast and masonry work," said Communications and Media Relations Specialist Lauren Ward in an email to Sarnia News Today.
Construction on the new residence began in June 2025.
Lambton College entered into a private-public partnership with Tilbury Properties Corporation and Fengate Asset Management for the project, which is the largest capital project in the school's nearly 60 year history.
The new building will be approximately 105,000 square feet, five storeys, and have 311 beds, and is expected to cost $50 million.
