The Sarnia Sting snapped a three game losing skid with a win on the road Friday night.
The Sting scored the first five goals of the game to hang on for a 5-3 win over the Generals in Oshawa.
Over-agers Ben Pickell and Jordan Bax each had a pair of goals for Sarnia in the win.
Easton Walos scored the game winning goal early in the third period, and Sting goalie Kale Osipenko stopped 38 of 41 shots he faced.
The win moves Sarnia to 15-30-5-1 on the season to take ninth place in the OHL Western Conference.
Sarnia travels to Brampton Saturday afternoon in one of seven games around the OHL.
