The Rotary Club of Sarnia Bluewaterland's 2026 Used Book Sale has been deemed a huge success.
Chair Dale Wilcox said $59,200 was raised from sales that will be used by the club to do work throughout the community.
"We have had an exceptional Rotary Used Book Sale this year," Wilcox said. "Despite snowy, cold weather, many still showed up for our sales. As a result of around 400 people donating, 19,000 books and hundreds of puzzles found new homes."
Wilcox said DeGroot's Nurseries continues to be an ideal location.
"One woman spoke about coming in from the snow, walking through the greenery of DeGroot’s and into the magic of row, upon row, of possible reading material," she said.
Wilcox invites anyone interested in learning more about the club or the work it does to visit their website.
