A two-vehicle collision on Highway 40 in St. Clair Township on Friday sent three people to hospital with life-threatening injuries, one of whom was airlifted via Ornge.
In a video posted to social media, OPP Cst. Jeff Hare said Lambton OPP, Lambton EMS, and local fire crews were called to the intersection of Bentpath Line and Highway 40 shortly after 8:50 a.m.
Hare said further details were minimal as the investigation continues.
At 10:30 a.m., West Region OPP said the highway was closed in both directions between Wilkesport Line and Smith Line.
Hare said as of 11:48 a.m., the area was expected to be closed for at least two to three hours.
Motorists have been advised to plan alternate routes.
