Sting lose 6-4 in Windsor

The Sarnia Sting suffered a 6-4 loss to the Spitfires in Windsor in OHL action Thursday night, snapping a two-game winning streak.

Ben Pickell and Beckham Edwards each scored a goal for Sarnia on the same penalty kill in the first period to take a 2-nothing lead.

Windsor scored four unanswered goals and led 4-3 heading into the third frame.

The Spitfires scored two more in the third period for the win.

Matthew Manza and Jack Van Volsen also scored for Sarnia in the loss.

Veteran Windsor forward A.J. Spellacy was handed a head checking major late in the second period for a hit on Sarnia Sting captain Alessandro Di Iorio. 

The Sting are home to Saginaw Friday night at Progressive Auto Sales Arena.
