The Community Crime Unit teamed up on Thursday with loss prevention personnel at area retailers and the owners of local businesses.
Uniformed officers and special constables worked alongside plainclothes detectives. The operation resulted in the arrest of three people.
Six criminal charges have been laid, which have not been proven in court.
