One man suffered serious injuries in a violent stabbing Monday in Sarnia.
Police responded to a residence on Devine Street near Christina Street just after 6:30 a.m.
Officers arrived on scene to find Lambton EMS and a 36-year-old man suffering from a stab wound.
Police contained the building and said blood smears were visible outside the front door.
It was discovered the victim, who was taken to Bluewater health with serious but non-life threatening injuries including a stab wound to the head, a black eye and other facial abrasions, had sustained the injuries at another location.
Officers followed a trail of blood a short distance to a residence on Vidal Street near Talfourd Street.
The home was contained and the occupants were ordered to exit. Police said two men, who allegedly had obvious blood transfer on them were arrested. The scene was examined for evidence and police recovered two knives from the home.
Curtis Plain, 60, was charged with assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm and disobeying a court order.
Randolf Robinson ,57, was charged with assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.
Both men were remanded into custody following their bail hearings.
The investigation is ongoing.
