Residents invited to learn about Strangway Centre spring programs

Temperatures have been more mild across the county recently, and that has staff at Strangway Centre getting geared up for spring programming.

An open house is planned to give residents a glimpse of what's in store.

Activities Programmer Mike Neely said registration for spring recreation programming opens March 17.

"As the days grow brighter, the Strangway Centre is buzzing with energy, creativity, and connection," said Neely. "From fitness and wellness to arts, outdoor sports, and social programs, there is something for everyone to enjoy this spring."

Neely said highlights of the spring 2026 lineup include some returning favourites alongside new offerings.

Activities include a woodworking hobby shop, drop-in chat and play with causal games, golf lessons, yoga, drawing, and men's recreational two pitch.

The Strangway Centre offers over 85 programs annually, serving about 2,000 people.

The open house is scheduled for Saturday, March 7, from 9:30 a.m. until noon, and will feature a ukulele performance, facility tours and the chance to meet instructors and staff.

Strangway memberships can also be purchased during the open house.

The centre is located at 260 East Street North in Sarnia.
