$1.6K in drugs seized

Sarnia police have seized roughly $1,600 worth of drugs after a person check.

At 12:50 a.m. on Saturday, officers saw a man slumped over inside a bank vestibule on Exmouth Street.

Police say the man appeared to be under the influence and was holding a clear bag filled with what they believe to be methamphetamine.

The man was placed under arrest. Police searched his person and found 41 grams of methamphetamine.

The 63-year-old man has been charged with possession with the purpose of trafficking.

He has since been released with conditions.
