A 20-year-old Petrolia man faces charges, including assault, in a disturbance at a Queen Street home in Sarnia.
City police were called to the residence on March 17, just before 7:30 p.m.
It's alleged the suspect was under a court order not to go to that address and not have contact with a specific person living there.
Police said he knocked on the door and covered the peephole to get inside.
It's alleged a verbal altercation escalated into a physical confrontation and the victim suffered minor injuries.
They were transported to the hospital for assessment.
Officers found the suspect nearby, and he allegedly identified himself with a fake name.
He was eventually arrested on an outstanding warrant from a 2025 investigation where he is alleged to have previously breached his probation order.
Caleb Quinton is charged with assault, identity fraud, and six counts of failing to comply with a probation order.
After a bail hearing, the court released him with conditions.
Since August 2025, Quinton has been charged with a total of 19 counts of failing to comply with his probation order.
