Sports and Rec show highlights various groups

It's sure to be an exciting weekend for local sports fans, and you might even be shown something new.

The Twin Bridges Hockey League is holding its first ever Sports and Recreation Show, sponsored by the Sarnia Yacht Club, at the Dante Club in Sarnia.

Dozens of vendors will be on hand including Iron Eagle Gyms, Sarnia Girls Soccer Club, Sarnia School of Archery, Lambton County Library, and more.

Admission is $5 for those aged 14 and older, and proceeds from the event will be donated to the YMCA Jerry McCaw Family Centre.

According to a Facebook post, the goal is to "curate a diverse group of exhibitors from your typical sports leagues to recreation groups to athletics you never knew you needed to try."

It said "if games, groups, out of the ordinary athletics leagues and exploring clubs you never knew existed sounds like your thing, then this show is for you."

The show is taking place on Friday from noon until 7 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.

More information can be found on their Facebook page.
