Police seek public assistance in theft investigation

The Sarnia Police Service is asking for the public's help in locating those responsible for a theft at a London Line business.

Police said on Friday, March 6, suspects went to a business near Blackwell Sideroad and stole a black 2019 Ford F-250 pickup truck with an attached enclosed trailer, which contained a Ventrac tractor and various tools.

The stolen pickup was later recovered in a ditch in Comber, while the trailer, which had minor damage, and its contents were found in the Toronto area.

Police said the original licence plate on the trailer was Z2069K, and was removed.

Police said a four-door sedan drove through the lot, left and later returned to the area. At that time, an unknown individual entered the pickup truck and drove off the property hauling the trailer.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
