Lambton County and Clean Harbors Canada will hold the first household hazardous waste collection event of the year on Saturday, March 28.
The events allow residents to safely dispose of hazardous household waste at no cost to them.
"Corrosive, toxic, reactive and flammable materials will be collected at these events," said Lambton County Public Works Manager Matt Deline in a news release. "These items should never be placed in a regular landfill because they have the potential to injure workers and damage the environment."
The event takes place at the Clean Harbors Lambton Facility at 4090 Telfer Road in St. Clair Township, from 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. on March 28, April 25, May 30, June 27, September 26, and October 24.
There will also be several mobile events.
You can find out what waste is accepted and where the mobile events are happening on the County of Lambton’s website.
