It was, to say the least, a bombshell announcement. And it seemed to come out of nowhere.
On Wednesday, April 8, Sarnia-Lambton-Bkejwanong MP Marilyn Gladu shocked just about everyone in her riding - and beyond - when she announced that she was crossing the floor, leaving the Conservative caucus to join Mark Carney's Liberals.
Reaction was swift, and not always pretty. Some on social media called her a traitor, while others are demanding a by-election.
On this episode of Sarnia Lambton Beyond the Headlines, Gladu explains her decision, talks about its fallout, and looks forward to what she calls "the time she has left in politics"
This episode is hosted by Blackburn Media's Stephanie Chaves.
