The Sarnia Lambton Pickleball Club (SLPC) is marking a major milestone with the grand opening of its new year-round facility in Sarnia.
The SLPC Rally House, powered by Eltanty Sarnia Dental, is located at 1426 London Rd., across from Blackburn Media.
“We have had this vision for at least three years, a year-round indoor pickleball club for the Sarnia-Lambton community,” said SLPC Vice President Aldo Adamo. “To see it become a reality is very exciting.”
An open house will be held on Saturday, April 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to welcome local dignitaries, sponsors, prospective and current SLPC members.
The club currently includes over 450 registered members. Due to demand, there's currently a waitlist for preferred playing privileges at the facility, but all SLPC members will be able to play at the indoor facility, subject to court availability.
The site includes four pickleball courts, a member lounge, and training sessions for player development. There are plans in place to potentially include a fitness room.
The facility is operated by dedicated volunteers.
