Police looking to identify suspect in attempted break and enter

Sarnia police are investigating an attempted break and enter over the weekend.

Officers responded to a home on Admiral Avenue near Capel Street just before 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

It's alleged the homeowner heard noise at her front door as someone attempted to open the locked door.

Police said she then observed a male suspect at her back gate, but he fled before police arrived.

Officers conducted a search of the area, however the suspect was not located.

Through surveillance video, police determined the suspect is a white man, in his early to mid-twenties with a slim build, short buzzed hair and possibly a scar on the back of his head.

They were wearing a black zip-up sweater, black shirt and dark, baggy jeans.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sarnia Police Service at 519-344-8861, or Crime Stoppers at 519-332-TIPS (8477).
