Few details have been released, but members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K-9 Units were sent to a residence on George Street just east of Brock Street North, shortly after 4:30 p.m.
The scene was declared cleared by police less than three hours later, with one person in custody.
Police say the suspect is facing multiple charges.
