The Sarnia Police Service says a motorcyclist has died in a head on crash with a car on Plank Road.
Police and other emergency crews responded to the area, east of Kimball Side Road, at around 9:17 p.m. Sunday.
Police said the motorcycle was travelling east when it collided with a westbound car. A 26-year-old Petrolia man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Reconstructionists from the Sarnia Police Traffic Services Unit were called in to investigate.
The road remained closed overnight but has since reopened.
Further details, including whether charges will be laid, will be released at the conclusion of the investigation.
