Sarnia-Lambton Rebound has partnered with Sarnia Ford to raffle off a Grabber blue metallic 2026 Ford Mustang convertible sports car.
The Wheels of Summer car raffle will kick off on Tuesday, May 12.
"We're only going to sell 1,500 tickets, so the odds are very good," said Fund Development Coordinator Beverley Horodyski. "We're really, really pumped about it. It's a beautiful car!"
Tickets are $100 each and can be purchased through Rebound's website.
Proceeds will support Rebound's 21 programs geared to youth between the ages of eight and 24.
"The programs vary in respect to what's being provided to the youth. Some of them focus on resilience and growth, others are school support and reengagement, some focus on wellness and stability, and then inclusion and expression," Horrodyski said.
Since general programs do not receive government funding, Rebound said fundraising plays a "vital role" in sustaining the work they do.
The winning ticket will be drawn on July 29 at 12 p.m. at Sarnia Ford, previously Finch Ford Lincoln. Horodyski said the draw will be livestreamed on social media.
“As general manager of Sarnia Ford, I can’t think of a more iconic and desirable car like the Mustang to feature in the raffle,” said Reg Hanlon in a statement. “We’re honoured to contribute to an initiative that makes such a positive impact on local youth.”
Horodyski said the organization held a similar raffle in 2021 with MacFarlane Chevrolet Buick GMC in Petrolia.
"It was very successful then, and we thought it's time to bring it back," she said.
Over the past 40 years, Rebound has supported over 42,000 youth and their families in Sarnia-Lambton.
