The final tallies are in, and the results are golden: over $45,000 was raised locally for Ronald McDonald House of Southwestern Ontario (RMHSWO) on McHappy Day.
Owner/Operator Colleen Buckley has extended a heartfelt thanks to volunteers who helped accomplished the goal.
"Thanks to the dedication of volunteers across the community, our Sarnia, Petrolia, and Strathroy locations collectively raised $45,113.84 this year," Buckley said. "This is an outstanding achievement, and it reflects the strength of our community and the compassion of people like you. Every dollar raised directly supports families staying with RMHSWO, ensuring they have the care and stability they need during some of the most difficult moments of their lives."
Buckley said as a result of the efforts, families are able to access a safe and welcoming home away from home, nourishing meals, mental health and wellness support and family focused programs that keep caregivers, siblings, and patients connected, supported, and cared for throughout their medical journey.
"Our London house offers far more than a place to stay -- it provides stability, compassion, and a sense of community when families need it most," Buckley said. "The funds raised on McHappy Day help us continue offering meaningful programs, thoughtful activities, and supportive services that bring comfort and connection to families navigating incredibly challenging circumstances."
In 2025, a total of $52,186 was raised locally.
