Lambton OPP searching for missing person following emergency on Lake Huron

Lambton OPP are searching for a missing swimmer after an emergency aboard a raft at Pinery Provincial Park on Victoria Day.

Police were called to the park at 3 p.m. on Monday, May 18 for reports of a raft carrying five individuals experiencing distress on Lake Huron.

Police said two people were able to swim to shore while two others returned to the raft. One person remains missing.

OPP, along with the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, continue search efforts in the area.

Police said there are no concerns for public safety, but there will be an increased police presence at the park.
