Charges have been laid in a collision at Walpole Island First Nation that claimed the life of a pedestrian over four months ago.
At around 10 p.m. on January 20, Lambton OPP, members of the Walpole Island First Nation Police and EMS responded to a collision involving a pedestrian on Tecumseh Road.
A 29-year-old Walpole Island resident was taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.
OPP said that on May 12, a 34-year-old from Wallaceburg was charged under the Criminal Code with failing to stop at accident resulting in death.
They were released from police custody and are scheduled to appear in court on June 11.
