Collision prompts OPP reminder: 'remain attentive'

Lambton OPP is reminding drivers to pay attention to the road after a two-vehicle crash was reported on Petrolia Line near Mandaumin Road in St. Clair Township.

Community Engagement Officer Jeanine Robertson said provincial police were called at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday after a collision occurred between a pickup truck and minivan.

One person was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

OPP said a 23-year-old from Sarnia was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with disobeying a stop sign.

"This collision serves as a reminder for all motorists to remain attentive behind the wheel, approach intersections with caution, and obey all traffic controls," said Robertson in an email. "Drivers are reminded to come to a complete stop at stop signs and ensure the intersection is clear before proceeding."

The St. Clair Township Fire Department was also called to the scene and cleared the area shortly after 6:30 p.m.
