Clean Harbors hosts household hazardous waste day

If you're looking to get rid of some old paint cans, maybe some batteries, and/or some cleaning products you no longer have use for, you're in luck.

Clean Harbors will host another Hazardous Waste Day this weekend.

Residents can dispose of anything that can't go into the regular garbage, such as pool chemicals, propane cylinders, and pesticides for free.

Items not accepted include PCBs, commercial, industrial and radioactive wastes, electronics, and explosives, including flares and ammunition.

The drop-off event takes place this Saturday, May 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Clean Harbors site at 4090 Telfer Road in St. Clair Township.

If you are unable to attend this drop-off, there are several scheduled throughout the next few months.
