Sunny skies forecasted as Vintage in the Village returns

The third annual Vintage in the Village Car Show will kick into gear at Point Edward's Waterfront Park on Friday, May 29.

The Village of Point Edward and Sarnia Street Cruisers have partnered over the past few years to host the monthly community event.

It's typically held on the last Friday of the month from May through September, weather permitting.

Friday's event will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m., with gates opening at 4:30 p.m.

Residents are encouraged to bring their classic cars or eye-catching motorcycles. Sarnia Street Cruisers posted to Facebook that there is a new parking format this year and there are no entry fees.

Attendees can also enjoy live music from RC/DC and participate in a 50/50 draw in support of Pathways Health Centre for Children.

Food vendors will also be at the park.

Weather conditions look favourable for Friday as Environment Canada is calling for sunny skies with a high of 23 C.

In 2025, the number of vehicles that attended Vintage in the Village varied from month to month. A past report to council said 80 vehicles attended on May 30, 2025, and it progressively increased to 235 by September 26, 2025.

Local charities also benefitted last year as the Inn of the Good Shepherd raised $875 -- along with food donations, and the Huron House Boys’ Home raised $396.
