Increased police presence in Kettle & Stony Point First Nation

Police are on scene at a disturbance in Kettle & Stony Point First Nation.

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) advised of the increased police presence through a social post at roughly 5 p.m. on Saturday.

According to the post, Lambton County OPP, as well as Anishinabek police, have responded to a home on Lake Road, north of Middle Side Road, following reports of a disturbance.

Officers are asking the public to avoid the area, but note there is no threat to public safety.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
