Tickets available for Surf Inn Turf charity dinner

Tickets are available for the Inn of the Good Shepherd's Surf Inn Turf charity dinner.

The event hosted at the Four Points Sheraton in Point Edward will have live entertainment, auctions, and of course a plated lobster and steak dinner.

"It's surf and turf we're serving, obviously some fresh lobsters that are flown in from Nova Scotia. We've got some six-ounce tenderloins coming from Alberta, so the culinary team puts it all together," said Four Points General Manager Geoff Eisenbraun. "We've got a whole lot of stuff going on the patio, live entertainment, a local Celtic band. We've got Hors d'oeuvres, a muscle station, shrimp pyramids, really sort of the seafood focus, which you'd think would be at this event. And then there's a ton of different games too."

The high-energy event is to bring the community together for a good cause and a good time.

"It's one of our main fundraising events for the year," said Inn of the Good Shepherd Executive Director Jack Christine. "Our donations are down, both with our donations of food and our financial donations as well. Unfortunately, we had to cap our numbers recently at the Food Bank to 40 per day, just primarily due to the lack of groceries and food that we have available via our food bank."

The funds raised through the dinner go towards vital programming that the Inn provides to the community.

Surf Inn Turf happens on June 11. Tickets are available on the Inn of the Good Shepherd's website.
