If you're wanting to take dad out for some yummy ribs for Fathers day you're in luck, the 2026 Carpenter’s Local 1256 Sarnia Kinsmen Ribfest presented by the Sarnia Construction Association is set for this weekend.
Ribs aren't the only thing that will be served up over the weekend.
"We have 10 bands scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, there's an arts and crafts show as well. We're going to be raffling off barbecue for Father's Day from Porky's," said Spokesperson Vicky Praill.
There will also be a Kids Fun Zone.
All funds raised through Ribfest go back into the community.
"Last year they raised over $68,000 it all went to over 30 local charities. So this is a big fundraiser for the Sarnia Kinsman," said Praill.
This Ribfest is a big deal for community leader Jack Struck who has been instrumental in the event for several decades and is celebrating 50 years with the Kinsmen Club of Sarnia.

"It's been great. I've enjoyed all 50 years, I've seen a lot, been through a lot, and I still enjoy it. It's everybody says, "How can you, how do you keep it up? I said, "I guess when you like something and love something, it's just you put your heart into it, and that's the important part, but I just enjoy doing working with the community. I have a lot of memories, an awful lot of memories," said Struck.
On average, the annual Ribfest draws a crowd of over 15,000. Last year saw arounds 26,000 attendees.
