Petrolia celebrates $42K in new baseball equipment

Local officials held a ribbon-cutting in Petrolia to celebrate $42,500 in new baseball equipment.

Petrolia used the funds to install three bleachers and a batting cage at the baseball diamonds in Greenwood Park.

Town of Petrolia Mayor R. Brad Loosley and local Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) Bob Bailey were at the event held on Saturday.

“I am so pleased to see this project complete with the support of the Province of Ontario. I would like to extend our thanks to the Ontario Trillium Foundation for their support of Petrolia. This will be a great addition at Morrison Field,” said Loosley.

The money was granted in June 2025, through the provincial government's Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF). Its mission is to build healthy and vibrant communities throughout Ontario, with nearly $107 million invested throughout the province.
