Ontario's Special Investigations Unit (SIU) is looking into an arrest in Grand Bend after one person reported a serious injury.
Lambton OPP said the incident involved an arrest on June 13, when officers were called to a disturbance at a business on Main Street shortly before 11:30 p.m.
Police said one person was taken into custody, but sustained an injury during the arrest and was taken to hospital.
"On Friday, June 26, 2026, the OPP was informed that the injury was believed to be serious and notified the SIU of the incident," read an OPP media release.
The SIU invoked its mandate on July 8. As a result, OPP said no further details would be released.
