PrideFest takes over Canatara Park this weekend

Sarnia-Lambton Pridefest kicks off Friday evening.

The event, funded by the Government of Canada, is free all weekend in support of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.

The three day festival gets underway at Refined Fool Brewing Co. on London Road with BIPOC Night. Doors open at 8 p.m. Friday.

At Canatara Park on Saturday and Sunday, there will be live drag performances, a vendor market, food and other family-friendly activities including a Pet Pride Parade. Events are planned from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. both days.

Saturday night features a drag show at Refined Fool for those 19 and up.

The Pride Parade is schedule for 1 p.m. on Sunday along Chipican Drive at Canatara Park.
