The Sarnia Community Foundation (SCF) is encouraging eligible organizations to apply to its Fall Community Impact Grant program.
The grants committee is specifically looking to support projects that align with United Nations sustainable development goals listed below.
- Good health and wellbeing (physical health, mental health, social connection, seniors’ health, children and youth)
- Quality education (early childhood, school-aged support, youth and skills, adult learning)
- Industry, innovation and infrastructure (access to technology, community infrastructure, and workforce training
- Reduced inequalities (disability and accessibility, Indigenous inclusion, newcomer and diversity)
- Peace, justice and strong institutions (community safety, conflict and mediation)
"We are very excited to be able to offer two granting cycles this year, we have experienced significant growth over the last two years!” said SCF Executive Director Mike Barron in a statement. “We are so thankful for our donors and fund holders who, with their support, really help to make our community better for tomorrow.”
In June, the SCF awarded six grants through its spring intake.
The foundation said it has given back over $14 million to community organizations and projects in Sarnia-Lambton over the past 43 years.
