OPP recover property stolen from vehicle, man arrested

Lambton OPP have arrested a man who they say was in possession of property previously reported stolen from a vehicle.

The suspect was arrested on July 17, just before 10:30 a.m. on Front Street in Point Edward after police received a call.

The 40-year-old Sarnia man is charged under the criminal code with theft under $5,000, mischief (damaging or destroying property), possession property obtained by crime under $5,000, and failure to comply with a probation order.

He was released pending an August 25 court appearance in Sarnia. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact Lambton OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
