A Sarnia woman is celebrating after matching the last six of seven ENCORE numbers in exact order in the July 25 LOTTARIO draw to win $100,000.
Kristal N is a mother of three and grandmother of one.
She said she’s a loyal lottery player and this is her first big win.
“I always add ENCORE to my tickets,” she shared while at Ontario Lottery and Gaming's (OLG) Prize Centre in Toronto to collect her windfall.
Kristal said she discovered her big win while enjoying her usual Sunday morning routine of having a coffee, watching the news, and checking her tickets on the OLG app.
“I saw I matched six ENCORE numbers, so I brought my ticket back to the store where I bought it. Everyone was in shock. I called my cousin to share the news and asked, ‘Are you sitting down?’”
Kristal said this will be the start of a new chapter for her family as she plans to put her winnings toward paying some bills, saving for retirement, helping her children, and travelling to Greece and Panama.
“We’ll celebrate with an end-of-summer get-together,” she concluded.
The winning ticket was purchased at Star Variety on Confederation Street in Sarnia.
