No injuries were reported after a vehicle fire broke out early Tuesday morning on the Blue Water Bridge.
Point Edward Fire and Rescue was called to the border crossing at around 6 a.m.
Firefighters arrived to find a commercial motor vehicle fully engulfed in flames on the westbound lanes of the Blue Water Bridge.
The fire was quickly extinguished and contained to the cab of the truck.
The twin-span international bridge was closed to traffic in both directions while crews tackled the blaze.
The eastbound lanes entering Canada were expected to reopen shortly after, while all westbound lanes entering the U.S. remained closed during cleanup, causing delays on Highway 402.
The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
