Residents are being encouraged to help clean Canatara Park Beach.
Lake Huron Coastal Centre has organized a clean up event scheduled for Saturday, September 19, from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.
Registered volunteers will meet at the bandshell to receive supplies and instructions.
Those interested can sign up through the charitable organization's website.
A free barbecue will be held for volunteers afterward.
Lake Huron Coastal Centre was founded in 1998, with a mission is to protect and restore Lake Huron’s coastal environment.
The group will hold a clean up event at Port Elgin Beach on Thursday, October 8, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
