Sarnia police have seized over $300,000 worth of drugs, and more than $150,000 in cash after executing multiple search warrants Wednesday.
Police said the investigation involved members of the Drug and Intelligence Unit, Emergency Response Team (ERT) and K9 Unit.
Officers confiscated about four kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, one kg of cocaine, various strengths of prescription hydromorphone pills, 120 oxycodone tablets, and drug trafficking-related paraphernalia, including scales and packaging materials.
They also found $151,452 in Canadian currency and $94 in American funds.
An unnamed 42-year-old Sarnia man was arrested and charged with multiple offences:
• Possession of Cocaine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Oxycodone for the Purpose of Trafficking
• Possession of Hydromorphone
• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000
Police said he's now before the courts.
The Sarnia Police Service said it remains committed to disrupting the sale and distribution of illegal drugs and holding those responsible for drug trafficking accountable for their actions.
