There are still slots available for Indigenous entrepreneurs to participate in a new free eight-week workshop.
The Aamjiwnaang Economic and Development and Education Departments are collaborating with Community Futures Lambton to launch Build. Grow. Expand. -- a practical business learning and support program.
The series will bring both aspiring and established business owners together on Tuesday evenings at the Maawn Doosh Gumig Community Centre.
"Supporting Indigenous entrepreneurship means creating opportunities for people to build practical skills, explore their ideas and make informed decisions about the future of their businesses," said Judith Beauchamp, Education Outreach Worker of Aamjiwnaang First Nation. "By bringing business learning directly into the community, this partnership can help entrepreneurs move forward with greater clarity and connect with resources that can support them along the way."
Each workshop will combine guided learning with hands-on workbooks, exercises and templates that participants can apply directly to their own business or business idea.
There will be a focus on digital marketing, financial literacy and business plan development.

By combining their community knowledge and connections with our team’s expertise and practical resources, we can create a learning opportunity that meets entrepreneurs where they are and help them build or grow their businesses intentionally."
The deadline to register is Friday, September 25.
The program will run from September 29 to November 17.
