Lambton County Library will host a series of discussions with photographers, authors, and historians in celebration of Culture Days, a national initiative highlighting arts, culture, and heritage.
“Libraries bring people together around stories, ideas and shared experiences, which makes Culture Days a natural fit for Lambton County Library,” said Public Services Coordinator for Adult Programs and Outreach Adrianne Lebert. "Whether you’re interested in local history, Canadian authors, music or the outdoors, we hope people will find something that sparks their curiosity and brings them together with others in the community.”
On November 20, renowned Canadian music photographer Richard Beland will discuss past experiences snapping shots of iconic musicians.
An Evening with Richard Beland and Friends will be held at Sarnia Library Theatre from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Author Talks will also be held with Gary May on September 26 at 1:30 p.m., and Kevin Callen on October 1 at 6:30 p.m. Both events will be held at Sarnia Library Theatre.
Plympton Wyoming's history will also be discussed, in partnership with Lambton County Museums, where stories, photographs, and keepsakes will be shared. The municipality marked its 25th anniversary this year.
The show-and-tell event will be held on September 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Camlachie Library, and on October 1 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wyoming Library.
